Salem News: New School Rankings

The Salem Public Schools district managed to raise their performance ratings from a level four…literally the equivalent of a D-minus..to a basic level three, narrowing avoiding a state takeover. I heard school staff and administrators were actually celebrating this, but based on my past experience, If I ever got a mark like this on MY report card my parents and teachers would've been telling me: "Sure, you've improved, but you should be doing SO much better" Or then again, given the state of public schools in general today, maybe I expect too much.
