Obscure CD Cover (Commissioned Piece)

A CD cover I did for an obscure music band. HOW Obscure were they? They were located in ICELAND!! Not likely you've seen this in any US record stores.

Only Six Months Til Xmas (comissioned pieces)

For the past few years now I've been doing the holiday cards for a Philadelphia graphics firm called CREATIVE CHARACTERS. These pieces are done in ink and watercolor marker.

It's not WHAT you say, It's HOW you say it...

The latest installment of FOR ART'S SAKE from THE COMIC BUYER'S GUIDE #1656, which just came on sale- I admit this isn't really much of a joke, but, well, you try to keep a feature going fresh for twenty years now! At least I got some good drawing in this one! Hubba Hubba! Drool on,fanboys!!

THE AMERICAN BRAIN

Unpublished series. This was an experimental strip I did back some time ago. I couldn't really make it work betond these few gags, though. Chalk this up to trying too hard.

Unpublished Bits

More Unpublished strips.I tried for MAD-style humor in these.

Dastardly & Muttley!

Anohter case of the "Retros" again..Here we have the Hanna-Barbera eqivalent to Wile E.Coyote, DICK DASTARDLY from WACKY RACES. I've always considered WR to be a hypocritical type of show, because mainly because Dick always got punished for HIS cheating, yet the other supposedly "GOOD GUY" racers constantly pulled dirty tricks on each other, and they all often won, yet Dick didn't..But then again, Dick had to be a SAINT to put up with MUTTLEY, a dog more untrustworthy and more unscrupulous then all the racers put together, so I guess the theme behind WR would be "Nice Guys Finish Last"

Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch!

Sometimes I just get in a retro mood..I'm kinda surprised Warners never got around to releasing a DVD of this series, especially considering the success of CARS,which this predated by at least a good twenty-five years.
Not there hasn't been cartoons with anthropomorhic vechicles before..TEX AVERY did ONE CAB'S FAMILY, for example..and there was the Ant Hill Mob's CHUGGABOOM in THE PERILS OF PENELOPE PITSTOP and SPEED BUGGY, who was the first animated car to have an entire SERIES around him..But to my knowledge (And feel free to prove me wrong) WHEELIE was the first series to feature a world populated entirely by motor vehicles.
The series itself came off a cross between Disney's HERBIE THE LOVE BUG (Cartoon Network bumpers have stated that Herbie was the inspiration for Wheelie) and Chuck Jones's ROAD RUNNER series..(the ever-used chase and backfiring traps formula) Wheelie even "SPOKE" In beeps and honks..The series was also one of the last cartoons series produced that didn't try to forcefeed the viwer purile moral lessons.
Episodes of WHEELIE can be found at www.youtube.com Judge them for yourself.
