Salem News: Getting Nipped
Yes, this is a thing. Salem has more than its share of public drinkers, which causes an embarrassment of riches when it comes to finding these nip liquor bottles lying around, to the point that now there's an actual Facebook page about it.. Then I started to consider the election. My cartoon from the 11/11/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: New School Rankings
The Salem Public Schools district managed to raise their performance ratings from a level four…literally the equivalent of a D-minus..to a basic level three, narrowing avoiding a state takeover. I heard school staff and administrators were actually celebrating this, but based on my past experience, If I ever got a mark like this on MY report card my parents and teachers would've been telling me: "Sure, you've improved, but you should be doing SO much better" Or then again, given the state of public schools in general today, maybe I expect too much. This is my cartoon as published in the 09/29/2016 SALEM NEWS.

With the recent controversy over the overpricing of such medical devices like the Epipen, concerns have opened up over the legal maneuvers by big pharmaceutical companies towards less expensive alternatives. My cartoon as published in the 09/28/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Narcan in Schools
Our local schools are going to be supplied with NARCAN-a drug use in case of opioid overdose. It's a sad state of affairs at schools these days when it's easier to get medication than education. My cartoon as published in the 09/15/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Flood Maps
The City of Salem wants FEMA to look into updating "flood maps" that determine what properties may risk the most damage from flooding, and whether or not flood insurance would be necessary for these properties. Interesting, given the current conditions, that a flood is the LAST thing that would happen right now! (Heck, in some cases, one may even be welcomed!) My cartoon from the 08/18/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Presidential Seasoning
Submitted this to the SALEM NEWS and they never used it. Might as well put it to use here.
As Looney-Tunes as this presidential race is getting, if Trump isn't careful, his campaign may go the way of the classic cartoons this is based on.

Salem News: Recycling Costs
Local Cities have started recycling programs in recent years. Seems to have been going well. People using less resources. But NOW..Scrap paper metal, glass, don't go for much per ton as they used to, plus the lower costs of oil..seems it turns out that it's gotten harder to keep up with the COSTS of recycling..Apparently the next endangered resources are budgets and profits..My cartoon from the 08/03/2016 SALEM NEWS.

The Greedy
My rendition of THE GREEDY from the Richard Williams animated film RAGGEDY ANN AND ANDY. Possibly one of the strangest animated films ever produced. You can find it on YOUTUBE. (Music and songs by the legendary Joe Raposo) The Greedy was a creature entirely made of caramel, candy, and other assorted sweets that felt compelled to constantly eat and regurgitate itself. The ultimate animated depiction of an eating disorder.
