One of my utmost FAVORITE animated films is The Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE. I decided to do a warped tribute to it by using the film to make fun of the freelance artist/comics industry.

Freaking Felines
Several years back, the FILM ROMAN animation studio (The ones that produced the original GARFIELD TV series) announced they were going to make an animated film of the great Gilbert Shelton's THE FABULOUSLY FURRY FREAK BROTHERS. For some reason, that struck be as totally bizarre and i did this three-week (COMICS BUYERS GUIDE was weekly then) storyline about the two properties sort of crossing over. The three strips are below.

Pinky and the Brain
Another old portfolio piece, a four page story based on the cartoon series PINKY AND THE BRAIN.
The first page is meant to be a pencilling sample. I pitched this at a DC/Warners editor during San Diego Comic Con. (Comic-Con International).
