Public Transportation
Published in THE SALEM NEWS 01/27/2012.
The Massachusetts Public Transport Authority is trying to cover its debt-ridden (Big Dig) ass by making plans that considerably raise travel fares as well as severe cuts to services, such as totally eliminating some bus routes and weekend rail service altogether. Cuts which may radically affect people that can't afford cars otherwise and need to get to work.

Salem News: Arresting Developments
From the 01/07/2012 SALEM (MA) NEWS:
Recently a local issue made national headlines when a Mother on Lafayette St. in Salem, Called the police to arrest her children, who were squabbling. (at one point, the brother hit the sister) Needless to say, the media got all over the place once the story got out.
You'd think you'd hear about something like this on either Dr. Phil or Jerry Springer first...
