Salem News: Pats 2017 Super Bowl Victory
I can't say I was ever a big sports fan, but I think even I can be entitled to a bit of local pride, and besides the current political climate made this idea the perfect hook for the drawing. My cartoon as it appeared in the 02/07/2017 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Getting Nipped
Yes, this is a thing. Salem has more than its share of public drinkers, which causes an embarrassment of riches when it comes to finding these nip liquor bottles lying around, to the point that now there's an actual Facebook page about it.. Then I started to consider the election. My cartoon from the 11/11/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Early Voting
Early Voting is an option here in Massachusetts this year. As they say, "Don't put off 'til tomorrow what you can get sick over today" Or, "worse things first" My cartoon as published in the 10/28/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: New School Rankings
The Salem Public Schools district managed to raise their performance ratings from a level four…literally the equivalent of a D-minus..to a basic level three, narrowing avoiding a state takeover. I heard school staff and administrators were actually celebrating this, but based on my past experience, If I ever got a mark like this on MY report card my parents and teachers would've been telling me: "Sure, you've improved, but you should be doing SO much better" Or then again, given the state of public schools in general today, maybe I expect too much. This is my cartoon as published in the 09/29/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Narcan in Schools
Our local schools are going to be supplied with NARCAN-a drug use in case of opioid overdose. It's a sad state of affairs at schools these days when it's easier to get medication than education. My cartoon as published in the 09/15/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: One-Sided Relationship
Ipswich River, the main shared water supply to many local communities, is drying out, yet while some cities are put on water restrictions, others, strangely, are NOT. My cartoon as published in the 08/31/2016 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Flood Maps
The City of Salem wants FEMA to look into updating "flood maps" that determine what properties may risk the most damage from flooding, and whether or not flood insurance would be necessary for these properties. Interesting, given the current conditions, that a flood is the LAST thing that would happen right now! (Heck, in some cases, one may even be welcomed!) My cartoon from the 08/18/2016 SALEM NEWS.
