It seemed like a sure win to grant the first Massachusetts Casino License to Suffolk Downs in Revere,, close to Boston, plenty of space, public transportation, the support of many North Shore Community leaders,,But suddenly the Gaming Commission voted to grant the license to the more out of the way city of Everett instead! Was there a fix? My cartoon as published in the 09/22/2014 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Who You Gonna Call? (My Fourth Post Of The Month is ON the Fourth!)
The Massachusetts legislators have already made provisions in the latest budget for how much income the casinos will bring into the commonwealth even though the casinos are not up and running yet. Income like this is known as "Phantom Funding" and may be endangered with casino opponents lobbying hard to prevent organized gaming here in the state. This is my cartoon as it appeared in the 07/04/2014 SALEM NEWS.

Salem News: Mall Casinos
Originally published in the SALEM NEWS; 01/25/2013:
In order to try and boost the local economy, a proposal was made to open a 24-hour slots casino in the city of Danvers-inside Liberty Tree SHOPPING MALL! While I believe that regulated casino gambling would be a good idea here in Massachusetts-we're losing plenty of money to out of state casinos already- An area like a shopping mall is NOT a good place to put it!
