SALEM NEWS:Garage Growth

Published 06/19/2012: The proposed parking garage project to help some of salem's parking woes gets increased funding. And I just couldn't resist adding the Mayor to have her squeal like a little girl. Ain't I a stinker?

We're In the Hole Again....

My cartoon from the 04/07/2012 edition of THE SALEM (MA) NEWS; The MBTA once again forces its patrons to foot the costs of its mistakes. For what they'll be charging, most people could probably afford their OWN car by now!!

Public Transportation

Published in THE SALEM NEWS 01/27/2012.
The Massachusetts Public Transport Authority is trying to cover its debt-ridden (Big Dig) ass by making plans that considerably raise travel fares as well as severe cuts to services, such as totally eliminating some bus routes and weekend rail service altogether. Cuts which may radically affect people that can't afford cars otherwise and need to get to work.

Salem News: "T"-Shirts

Published in THE SALEM NEWS 02/10/2011;
My Editor, Nelson K. Benton, caome up with this concept and I did the writing/drawing for the final version. The Massachusetts MBTA public transport system actually wants to self-promote itself via souvenirs and merchandise..Given the "T";s rather spotty record for service, cost problems,The ever-delayed building of a new depot for Salem, as well as Boston's infamous "BIG DIG" project, well...heh..Too bad i couldn't fit in a "Sorry, Charlie Card" into this thing somehow..

Salem News: Garage Fail

Published in the 09/17/2010 edition of THE SALEM (MA) News. The city wants the MBTA to help build a new parking garage at the Salem Depot, But as usual, what the city wants and what the State can afford are two different things entirely. The city wants a attractive garage (to lure tourists) w/handicap ramps, coffee shop, weather protection, etc, while the State only wants the very bare basics..levels of cement..The quote used in the cartoon was actually used by Salem Mayor Driscoll.
