Toughpigs April Fools Day 2019

The Muppet Fansite TOUGHPIGS once again does its annual tradition of doing a themed "fake news" page on April Fool's day and this year's theme was "Anniversaries of Sesame Street", which consisted of TOUGHPIGS writers contributing parody articles spoofing oddball years during the show's run.
 My job as usual, was to come up with a new log drawing, icon sketches, and even came up with a comic based article of my own, as posted below.

Toughpigs Babies

TOUGHPIGS, the top Muppet Fanzine, did its annual April Fools day special page today focusing on articles based on and spoofing THE MUPPET BABIES. The first piece is a new graphic for the site logo, and the second piece below it is MUPPET ELDERS, a reverse spoof of MUPPET BABIES, this time with the cast as old folks.

The TOUGHPIGS Muppet fanzine did its annual April Fool's day special edition with a number of funny "articles" with a "no news" theme. My contribution, as usual, was new artwork, specially the piece below which was used on the logo. The second image below was my original concept for the FIRST piece! Late Night WIth TOUGHPIGS

TOUGHPIGS, the major Muppet fansite I do art for, did an April Fool's day promotion in which the website was turned into a parody promotional piece about UP LATE WITH MISS PIGGY, the show-within-a-show featured on ABC's THE MUPPETS. Several members contributed articles, and I came up with this new artwork:

This is the original drawing for the logo. I did have to shrink things down a bit as well as get rid of the background due to space issues for the final version, but except for the font graphics that Joe Hennes added  (based on the show's UP LATE logo) This is pretty much how it appeared.

I also had to come up with several new icons for the sidebar categories. The images had to be heavily reduced for the site, but these files give you a better idea of how they looked in their original size. I had to keep the designs and colors a bit simpler than I usually do due to the reductions.

Constantine: The April Fool of TOUGHPIGS

My pals Joe and Ryan of the TOUGHPIGS website asked me to do up some special artwork for April Fool's day. They wanted the site to look like MUPPETS MOST WANTED villain CONSTANTINE
had taken the site over. They even got Constantine's performer MATT VOGEL to do a special audio introduction for the page. You'll have to go to www.toughpigs.com to listen to the file, but here is the art I produced for the site.
